Cop Talk. GHB Treatment For Alcoholism???

We talk about this crazy idea that GHB could be an alternative treatment for alcohol addiction. We find this to be rather crazy, but maybe there's something to it. We also take a few minutes to talk about the recent events in Dallas, Lousiana and other places, where cops are killing unarmed black men, and now people are shooting cops. This has got to stop. And by the way, you CAN be pro cop and pro equal rights at the same time. Just saying.

Super excited to post this episode! We spent the entire show with Dr. Chris, talking about addiction, abuse and treatment of patients in the prison system.

Dr. Chris works in a prison and is woefully understaffed for the amount of work and the number of inmates she and her peers are charged with helping. The prison she works in takes a treatment approach to prisoners with drug abuse problems, which is extremely common, and tries to treat the real reasons why this patience are abusing drugs in the first place.

We get a Doctors view of addiction in the US prison system, and maybe, what we can do to make it better.
